Everyone
describes him as “highly professional.” This is Dr.
Isaac Jones Ayisoba Akanko, our Medical Director in
charge of the WARA clinic, scheduled to open soon.
The WARA Clinic is expected to enhance the services
provided to our members. On the whole, Dr. Isaac’s
contributions to the team are expected to compliment the
work of our highly trained German Paramedics and take
our operations to a higher level of efficiency.
He brings to the team an excellent track record, with
the following certificates to his credit: Bsc Human

of the skill base of our team. In addition,
her qualification adds to the resources
which are directly available to you as a

your personal achievement which is
undoubtedly an asset to WARA.
MEMBERSHIP
AWARENESS
Are the people you spend time with aware of your
membership with WARA? This is equally important
at the institutions and facilities where you
tend to spend a lot of time (e.g. sports clubs,
gyms, schools, place of work, etc)
In case of an emergency, you may not always be
in a position to personally call for our
assistance. It is therefore imperative that
those who can call us on your behalf are made
aware of your membership so they can make that
vital call for you should the need arise. Apart
from your ID card, Your WARA car sticker with
our details should come in handy.
ACCOUNTS AT SELECTED HOSPITALS
WARA has established accounts at selected
Hospitals and Treatment Centers in Ghana.
This has been done to facilitate a smooth
working arrangement in the event of
emergencies for our members. These accounts
are however accessible only through our
medical staff. We encourage our members to
be directly responsible for the payment of
all medical costs at the various
institutions.
We would like to remind all members that
this special facility is not to be utilized
privately as this creates an unnecessary
complex accounting process for us to manage.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US TO FIND OUT
MORE ON HOW THESE ACCOUNTS OPERATE.
SERVICES
EXCLUSIVE TO MEMBERS
The services that we provide are exclusive
to our members only. We have been receiving
an increasing number of calls lately from
individuals who are not WARA members. These
are people who have found themselves in a
medical crisis and require either an
ambulance or air rescue. We would like to
take this opportunity to clarify that we are
not obligated to respond to such calls, (no
matter how genuine they may be).
Certainly, our foremost responsibility is to
satisfy our bona fide members. WARA is
enthusiastic to arrange a series of
awareness creating activities in due time to
address this concern. Upon the request of
existing members however, we would be glad
to organize presentations for groups who
wish to join or should be encouraged to
join. Feel free to contact our office with
any needs, questions or ideas in this
regard.
FUND RAISING OPPORTUNITIES
There is good news for individuals and
corporate institutions looking for ways to
support a worthy cause. Through our work
with various health care institutions in
Ghana we have identified a number of viable
opportunities worthy of support with the
view to improving health care facilities and
services in Ghana. We are willing to put our
expertise in the medical arena at the
disposal of any individual or institution
who would be interested in being linked to
much needed and very worthy projects with
the view to improving health care facilities
or services in Ghana.
You may be interested in direct funding or
funding through fund raising activities,
please call Caroline Pearman on 024-4312497
to preview potential projects and discuss
possible fund raising activities.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
All members are reminded to notify WARA of
changes in their personal details or contact
addresses as and when they occur. This is a
simple requirement and yet very vital to
keeping our membership records current and
up to date.
